Blessed Acres

    I have always loved horses, so I guess it was only natural  to want a donkey :-)  Well, it started off with one, a 28.5" grey jack by the name of Meshak.  He was absolutely the sweetest and most gentle pet that we had ever owned.  He does not like dogs, but this is not unusual for a donkey.  Being that he was by himself, I considered getting him a jennet, and things just grew from there.  We purchased one of our jennets from the Baton Rouge area, and they happened to have a young spotted jack. We were not looking for another jack, but he was so sweet and followed us everywhere, so needless to say, he came home with us too!  Since then we have purchased three brown jennets, and I know there will be more in the future :-) We love each and every one's unique personality, and their kind, loving, comical nature.
