Seasons
Leviticus 26:3-4 "3If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit"
Galations 6:9 "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not"
1 Peter 1:6-7 "6Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:"
It's important to discuss seasons. Reason being is, we all go through them, and it's extremely important to keep your head up and your faith in the Lord high when you're going through a very trying time in your life. Many people will tell you, myself included, "it's for a reason, it all happens for a reason". Will we learn the reason in our lifetime? Only God knows, but I know one thing is certain......the Bible teaches us that God will work it out for our good:
Romans 8:28 28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
I have personally been through a trying season over this past year. One of the hardest times of my life. Seemed like everywhere I would turn there was not only an obstacle, but a wall. At times I thought it would never get better, but you know what? I remembered what the Bible said about seasons, and as you know, seasons do not last forever. It didn't last forever, and because of those trials, I'm stronger from it. When everything is going good, things are floating along, it's easy for your faith to be strong and your love for the Lord high. Your true test and growing period in your life is when the hardships come. The kind of hardships that you have to depend on the Lord to get your through it, and if you remain faithful to Him, He will get you through it. And when He does, your blessing is that much greater, your praise is that much louder, and you are ready to enjoy your harvest..... for a season :-)

Mercy and Compassion of the Lord
Genesis 18: 16 - 33, discusses a conversation between God and Abraham about the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Many people know the story of the two cities that were destroyed because their sins were so great. What stood out the most to me is that the Lord was willing to spare the entire place if Abraham could find 50 righteous. If not, then 45 righteous, then 40, then 30, then 20, then at least 10 righteous. These passages speak volumes about the Lord's mercy, compassion, and love for his people. Even if there would have been only a few, he would have spared the entire cities for those few.
Another story in the Bible that shows the same compassion from the Lord is the ever famous story of "Noah's Ark". At that time, "The wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart" Genesis 6: 5-6. Noah and his family were spared from the flood because "Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord" Genesis 6:8. The earth was filled with violence and was corrupt, but the Lord saved Noah and his family because they walked with God. Genesis 6:9.
Know and keep the faith that no matter how tough life gets, the Lord is with us and looks on us with the same compassion and mercy just as he did our brothers in the past.
"For I am the Lord, I change not;..." Malachi 3:7.
Salvation and eternity with the Lord is for everyone. Romans 10:9 and Romans 10:13 tells us so. If you go to God with sincerity in your heart, repent for your sins, and ask Jesus to come into your heart, He will, and you will receive the promise of forgiveness and eternity with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
"Heavenly Father, I know I am a sinner. I need your forgiveness Lord. I know that you sent your son, Jesus Christ, to die for me on the cross that I may have eternal life with you. I beleive he died on the cross for me and rose from the dead, and is alive and with you in Heaven. Please come into my heart Lord Jesus, save me, and guide my steps all the days of my life"
If you would like to know more about Jesus and what He has done for us, a good book in the Bible to start with is the book of John, located in the New Testament. If you have prayed the prayer above, let someone know :-) You can email me, I'm always here to listen. The next step is to find a great church and continue on your journey in the Lord. This is only the beginning :-)

John 3: 15 - 18
"That whosever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
John 3:16 is a very well known verse. We hear it alot, and sometimes for that reason we tend to take it for granted and not hear what God is really telling us. Jesus came into the this world to pay the penalty of our sins. He took the punishment for us by shedding his blood on the cross, bearing the weight of the sins of the world. As the Bible tells us, Jesus did not come to this world to condemn us, but rather, to save us from an eternity in hell. Don't ever feel like it's too late. Don't ever feel like there's too much sin in your life that God can not forgive. When we go to Him seeking forgiveness, He already knows what we have done and is ready to forgive us, love us, and guide us on our path in this life until the day comes that we spend our eternity with Him. This life here on earth is only for a short time. Eternity is forever. Your eternity is what really matters. We are all sinners and need the Lord's forgiveness every day. He is waiting for each one of us and is always at the door, waiting for us to open it.
Salvation and eternity with the Lord is for everyone. Romans 10:9 and Romans 10:13 tells us so.
